2008 Hermann Garden Tour

Hermann, Missouri, June 7th-8th, 2008, 10 AM-5PM - After thirteen years of very successful garden tours and raising tens of thousands of dollars for scholarships for Hermann students, the Hermann Garden Club has a brand new focus and theme for the 2008 garden tours. It is “Celebrating Our Botanical Heritage: The Edible and Fragrant Gardens of Hermann.” Each of the seven gardens on the tour will feature edible flowers and/or fragrant plants, and many of these plants will be sold at the plant sale. All tour gardens and the plant sale will be within easy walking distance in or near the Hermann Historic District. Special events are within easy driving distance. Garden Tour tickets and plants will continue to be sold at the German School at the corner of 4th and Schiller; tickets for the Tour are $10 per person. The Garden Tour will be from 10-5 on Saturday and Sunday, June 7th and 8th; the plant sale will open at 10 on Saturday and will be open until plants sell out on Sunday.

The gardens this year will be exceptional and almost all will be new to the tour. The new gardens are hidden behind historic homes in Hermann and are absolutely beautiful. Each has either “Edible” or “Fragrant” elements, and each will delight visitors with their beauty, and all will be in easy walking distance in the Historic District.
